Praise

Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

-1 Corinthians 6:15-20

This passage makes it clear that whatever we do should glorify God. Our actions should be a direct reflection of what the Bible teaches and the relationship we have with Christ.

Most times the busyness of our daily lives makes it easy for us to forget our motivation behind the things we do. It’s important to make sure we understand and remember our motivation behind our actions. We must strive to glorify God and bring praise to His name. We must whole-heartily put our faith in him each and everyday. Christ made the ultimate sacrifice so that all of us could have eternal life (Rom. 6:23). Regardless of the task you may be doing at any given moment, it is important that you take time out of your day to meditate on God’s Word and reflect on the sacrifice that was made for each and every one of us.

Take time out of your day and pray that God gives you the strength and the ability to glorify Him and praise Him in all that you do each and every day. Pray that you keep the sacrifice that was made in mind throughout your day to day tasks and let this be your motivation to strive to glorify God and bring praise to His name.
